Happy Babies Mean Happy Mamas
So, according to some people {hi, Mom!} I have what you would call an “easy baby.” And those people would be right. Lucy is a very happy little gal. Sure, teething, illness, or tiredness can put her in a foul mood. But all in all we’re very lucky to have such a low maintenance daughter.
But…{and isn’t there always a but?}…will it last? Or are we using up all our “easy” now and come age 16 our sweet little angel will be calling us from the local police station asking us to come bail her out amidst streams of “I swear it isn’t mine! I was just holding it for a friend!” and “well, Spike’s parents already came and bailed him out!” and “but that’s not faaaaaaaaair!” and “I’m never speaking to you again! I HATE YOU!”
Meh. Who knows?
I’m just going to do my best to enjoy this for as long as it lasts.
Did you have an easy baby or a high needs baby? How’d they turn out?

12 Stubborn Stains:
We had an easy baby. He didn't like to sleep, but he was happy and easy-going and really laid back and adaptable. As you say, low maintenance.
Now, he's a toddler (18 mos) and his personality hasn't changed, but I wouldn't call him low maitenance. He is into everything and requires constant attention in order to prevent shoes from ending up in toilets and batteries ending up in his mouth, etc. He just LOVES to discover things and it's quite exhausting.
So, he's still the same easy-going kid - but the more mobile and indepedent he got, the less 'easy' he became. (He's a sleeing superstar now though...)
Ashlyn is a pretty easy baby. She is not a great teether but she's slept through the night since she was about 2 months old and is just a sweet little girl. I hope it lasts, too! And that is the cutest picture! We have the same onesie. It's one of my favorites for her.
Sophia was the easiest baby ever, even in the womb. I NEVER had any issues with her until she turned three. She's still my princess but this has definitely been the toughest age thus far.
Colin was definitely an easy baby. I got so SPOILED having him as my first! But just like barefacedapproach said, my "easy" baby disappeared once he hit three. Yikes! I didn't know what to do with myself - or him!
Now that he's four it's slacked off a teeny bit, but he's still not as easy as he once led me to believe he'd be. :)
I had an incredibly easy baby until the last few months. And guess what, he just turned 3 so I'm glad to know that it's not just me and that other mommies have gone through the same thing. Whoever named it terrible two's has it all wrong...it's Terrible Threes! :)
Hmmmm...sounds like 3 is the age to watch out for, eh?!
3 & 4 suck, pretty much. I'd rather have 3 2 year olds than 1 4 year old.
So far I think that Peanut is right in the middle. Sometimes she's uber demanding and other times being her mom is a breeze. But yeah, those smiles help in the tough times.
No babies, but what a cute pic!
I have an 11 year old that was an easy baby. Then I had my now 4 year old, well I think high needs is a nice way to describe her ;) She was totally opposite the other one. But they are both wonderful girls in their own ways (Think one's sweet the other is spicy you just crave both lol). Have a great day!
Our son is SUPER easy...lets hope that lasts. LOL. He is 2.5 and we just flew with him on a 5 hour flight. I think people around us were nervous but when we landed, the people in front of us said he was the best toddler. Whew.
LOVE this darling pic.
Sam is still a pretty decent kid. She will be 3 in 1.5 weeks. Sure, she has an occational temper tantrum, but is still a pretty good kid overall. Who knows, maybe Lucy will be a good kid until she leaves the house.

You know the signs in the zoo that say "do not feed the animals"? Yeah, well...consider this a sign saying "PLEASE feed the author's ego!" I love comments, LOTS and LOTS of comments! ;)
