So, maybe it's just Lucy...but it seems newborns are programed to make the adjustment to parenthood as easy as possible. She spends most of her time sleeping. In fact, she slept so well last night that Adam and I probably got more sleep last night than we had in the past 3 days combined (don't get as much sleep in the hospital when nurses come in and interrupt). I almost feel normal (as normal as possible after giving birth I suppose). Lucy probably interrupts our sleep no more than having to get up and pee did while I was pregnant. Granted, the interruptions last longer, but still. She's a very happy baby. And for that we are grateful. Sanity is a good thing, and so far she's preserving ours.
