The weather gave me a blizzard for my birthday. I’m totally loving the snow. And Lucy gave me a morning on which she slept in {still sleeping in fact} and did not require me to be in bed with her to do so.
Life is good.
I’m 24 now. It seems like a friendlier number than 23. What? You didn’t know numbers had personalities? Totally. Seven? Totally a witch. Just sayin’. But I digress…HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Yay!

*liar, liar pants on fire

Here I sit, staring at my blogging program trying to decide what exciting news I should share first. See, this morning I woke up to find that I am one of six finalists in the Blog To Inspire contest I entered. Just last night I was telling Adam I didn’t think I would be chosen {and I may or may not have been pouting about it}. But I was wrong {oh how I love being wrong some times}! Here’s what YOU need to know:

So there’s that bit of exciting news.
But that’s not all. No, it’s definitely not all.
Last night,
my baby took her first step.
Two, in fact.
I immediately jumped up and spoke in a high pitched voice of excitement…promptly followed by crying.
My little baby is growing up.
She’s not a baby anymore. She’s a toddler. She toddles.
And yet, she’ll always be my baby.

UPDATE #2: Whrrl is working on finding a way to make me eligible! So VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

UPDATE: Remind me to read the fine print BEFORE I spend all morning working on an entry for a contest. Whrrl and SITS are showing NO LOVE for Canadian Residents. I am INELIGIBLE to win. :( But you know, I'm leaving up the link above because I spent all morning working on my entry and I can't bear to take it down just yet. I'm sick today, and this was the one thing I was feeling good about. I felt like I had a decent chance at winning (especially as I was checking out some of the competition). Now, and I know it's sill:y, but now I just wanna curl up and cry and sleep and not be sick.

I’m a big fan of SITS {The Secret is in the Sauce}. It’s a community of bloggers sharing comment love. And it’s done wonders for the traffic and comments on my blog. They’re hosting a conference {SITScation} in fabulous Las Vegas this October and it’s SOLD OUT {not that I could afford to go}.

However…today they announced how to win a trip (including airfare!) to SITScation!
