So Much Blog Material, So Little Time
I am so sorry for neglecting you guys. Really, I am. It’s one of the sad facts of blogging that the more interesting your life the less time you have to write about it.
This past weekend we visited Yoho National Park in beautiful British Columbia to visit Lucy’s Uncle Jared. I’ll have plenty of pictures to share with you in the coming days {I’m still editing the bajillion pictures I snapped}. In the meantime here’s a preview:
Um…yeah…we are so totally moving to B.C. someday.
The weekend before that we drove to Utah to help Lucy’s Uncle Spencer move here to Medicine Hat. She can’t say his name {she calls him “Pom” or “Pow” or something like that} but she is enjoying having him around. For the time being he’s living in our building. We think he’s pretty awesome so we’re thrilled to have him so close.
I start my new job “for real” tomorrow. I’ve had a few shifts in the last two weeks just to start learning the ropes. But tomorrow I begin working in earnest. I’ll be working four hours every weekday. Lucy will spend that time making friends at the day home we found her. She was going to go to the campus daycare…but apparently when some people say “yeah, sure, she’ll get in, no problem” they really mean “um, maybe if you had gotten her on a waiting list before she was born she’d get in.” But the day home we found looks like a good one. It’s a small number of kids in a nice, clean home affiliated with the YMCA.
Today Lucy had her first dental appointment, at which I was told that her teeth problems are totally NOT my fault. Phew. That’s a big load of mommy guilt off my weary shoulders. Now I just have to deal with the “I have to pay how much to have my toddler put under to get fillings and sealants” load.
So, anyhow…that’s why I’ve been away. I suddenly got a life. It’s keeping me busy. I promise I’m not gone for good. And I promise you are going to LOVE the B.C. pictures. It will take every ounce of willpower you have to keep from packing up your family and moving there on the spot.

4 Stubborn Stains:
My husband and I went on vacation in BC a long time ago. I loved it. Very beautiful there. Looking forward to the pictures.
My husband and I had our honeymoon in Field, BC. Sooooooo beautiful! If our jobs (or his job at the moment :P) didn't require us to be in some sort of populous area, we totally would move there. Maybe when we retire, we can own a guest house or something. Where did you go in Yoho?
I'm looking forward to your pictures!
We stayed in Field at my brother-in-laws house. But we went to the Natural Bridge and Emerald Lake.
Life first, blog later :)

You know the signs in the zoo that say "do not feed the animals"? Yeah, well...consider this a sign saying "PLEASE feed the author's ego!" I love comments, LOTS and LOTS of comments! ;)
