Hey, look, I know things are a mess. I took a hiatus from blogging and decided to switch up my design before returning. Please be patient, because if you can wait out the mess it means REGULAR POSTING WILL RETURN SOON! :D

My Homemade Advent Calendar
And what’s inside?
There was only enough room in each matchbox for 1 candy, so Adam and I are taking turns. I get odd days, he gets even, except for days when our holiday house guests are here. Then they get the goodies. And on Christmas eve there will be an extra special something for my brother-in-law if he’s able to make it here. But I’m not telling yet what it is!
Come back tomorrow for more holiday pictures!

17 Stubborn Stains:
What an awesome advent calendar. It puts mine to shame in a BIG way! If you get tired of it you could probably even sell it on Etsy!
VERY cool!!!! I don't know that I am crafty enough to do that. We have an Advent calendar too.... but I bought it from Target. :)
very very neat!
what a great idea!!
What a fun advent calendar. It turned out great. Good work! Next year you will have to share the candy with you little one too!
That is a fantastic idea! Now I know what to make with my kids over the next couple of days! Excellent
I like it! Every year I mean to make my own calendar and then I don't. This looks like an easy enough idea that I'll have to try to keep it in mind for next year. Maybe next year my son will be old enough to decorate them for me.
great idea! but where do you get bulk matchstick boxes?!
Stu,
We got the matchboxes at the local dollar store!
Awesome, you are so crafty!
Such a great idea! Ours is just a dollar advents calendar with chocolate for now. I should get the one I had as a kid, it's similar to yours and my mom still has it...
Awesome IDEA! I LOVE it. So creative!!!!
Little Dove chocolate...NIIICE!
Thanks 4 sharing. I think I'm gonna tweet this to my followers as well.
So neat!
You are a crafty genius!
Well, I'd say the people who put the project in the magazine were the crafty geniuses. I'm a copy-cat genius. ;)
Thanks everyone for the compliments. :)
It looks way better than I pictured it when you told me about your project. VERY COOL!!!
That is freaking awesome!
this is one of the coolest advent calendars ive seen. thanks for the holiday inspiration : )

You know the signs in the zoo that say "do not feed the animals"? Yeah, well...consider this a sign saying "PLEASE feed the author's ego!" I love comments, LOTS and LOTS of comments! ;)
